Moving From Canada to the U.S.A? From the U.S.A to Canada? Anywhere else in the world? Good Ol’ Boys has you covered! We’re international! Read on below. We have information on this page relating to each scenario. (Long Distance Moving within Canada click here )

Moving from Canada to the U.S.A

We provide weekly service from the Toronto area down the Eastern USA. Shipments from Western Canada go through Toronto for the Eastern USA. We provide express same next day service to all points within 12 hours driving of Toronto. We provide 2-4 week service to mid Central / Western USA destinations. Mid Central and western  USA destinations are hauled by associate Companies that we work with.

It’s rather a simple service much the same as within Canada however you must have clearance from USA Customs to live within the USA whether it is through your work, you have a visitor permit, you have a work permit or you are a returning resident. DO NOT MOVE YOUR EFFECTS to the USA if you do not have permission to live there. If we load up your shipment go to the border and you are not permitted to bring your goods into the USA your goods will go into the closest bonded warehouse and you will be responsible for bonded warehouse fees and redelivery costs in addition to your moving fees.

No matter what you must cross before the goods go into the USA and report to USA customs that there will be personal effects crossing unaccompanied from yourself. With Sameday express service we ask that you clear the goods at the border with the moving crew thus speeding up your process of crossing. It is not necessary but will save you time and with express time is money. In all cases a 3299 customs form is required for us to bring the effects into the USA.

Moving from U.S.A. to Canada

Basically the same service applies weekly from the eastern USA to Canada. Shipments for Eastern and Western Canada go through Toronto and are interlined out of Toronto. Larger shipments can go direct to destinations.

Customs clearance applies and for those shipments coming into the Toronto area shipments can be cleared in Mississauga 401/ Dixie area or express shipments can save time and money by travelling behind the movers and clearing the shipment when crossing the border.

You do not have to be present at the border because the shipment can go into bond when coming to Canada.

The following is a Canada customs link which states the conditions on which individuals can bring goods into Canada.

International Moving

We have the expertise to pack using overseas wrap and secure your shipment in a container destined for almost any port. Very few if any movers that I know of have ownership in any overseas ship line so most movers are simply agents.

If you receive or want to shop the shipping lines for best price for the container then we are still happy to do all the packing and loading services. Or if you want us to arrange all shipping and destination services we are happy to do this as well. We are only set up to do container overseas shipping. We do not provide overseas small shipments such as 1 trunk or a small crate.
